Murder Otter Collection

Murder Otter, Mo for short, is a river otter with deep red eyes. Nobody knows when he was born. He spent years as a test subject in a laboratory, where the experiments turned his eyes permanently red, until one procedure left him so still that he was thrown out for dead. He woke up outside and ran. In 2025 he reached Sunrise Sanctuary in the Wyoming Basin, expecting another laboratory. He found water, trees, food and people who looked after animals without hurting them. He comes and goes along the stream as he pleases, but he keeps coming back. After the mutation his fur turns black from nose to tail, and the red eyes stay.

In the Atomic Critters universe, Mo is easy to misjudge. Kagen named him Murder Otter on sight, from the eyes alone. The real Mo has firm rules: he does not kill, torture or knowingly hurt anyone innocent, though he can hold a grudge for years. He is fiercely independent, slow to trust and loyal once he does. The home he keeps choosing at Sunrise matters to him more than he ever intended.
