Slug Cat Collection

Slug Cat is a gray-and-black tabby about the size of a small dog, and she has lived at Sunrise Sanctuary since 2013. A tourist who did not want to raise her left her there as a kitten, so the whole sanctuary raised her. She worked out early that a little patience near the food area could turn breakfast into a second breakfast. One of her favorite places to sleep is the wooden footbridge over the koi pond, where the boards warm in the sun and people have learned to walk around her. She once looked at the koi, looked at the water, and let the koi live. After the mutation she keeps her size, her stripes and her attitude. She also gains a pair of glowing green antennae and a glowing green ridge down her back.

In the Atomic Critters universe, Slug Cat is a spoiled cat with enormous dignity and very ordinary cat priorities. She will refuse to move for a whole tour group, then outrun a red-eyed otter for his fresh trout. Kagen, the caretaker who keeps Sunrise running, is the person she is most attached to, though she would never admit it. Her story is about finding out that a few things at Sunrise are worth getting up for.
