Atomic Critter Clothing wasn’t born in a boardroom.
It was born on couches, in basements, and during late-night text threads where ideas snowballed somewhere between “this might actually work” and “let’s do it.”
Atomic Critter is the first business venture from brothers and lifelong best friends Carter and Tim — best men at each other’s weddings, collaborators by instinct, and bonded by a lifetime of shared curiosity and creativity. We grew up on video games, comics, sci-fi movies, rock music, and Saturday morning cartoons — the kind of stories that stick with you long after the screen goes dark.
Our gaming roots run deep. We spent countless hours replaying the Final Fantasy series (I, IV, VI, VII, and VIII), endlessly debating which one was the best — a discussion that remains unresolved. Along the way, Nintendo classics like The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, The Guardian Legend, and Mario Bros. shaped how we think about worlds, characters, and storytelling.
Comics were just as influential. We grew up obsessed with Marvel — X-Men, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Gambit — where heroes were flawed, strange, and still worth rooting for. That mix of imagination, imperfection, and heart still drives everything we create.
The “critter” part came naturally.
Our lives have always been filled with animals — especially dogs with personalities so big they felt like characters waiting to escape into a story. Real pets became fictional heroes. Characters became sketches. Sketches became stories. And those stories became a universe.
Atomic Critter Clothing is that universe — a character-driven world of mutated heroes, atomic misfits, chaotic animals, and half-broken legends that feel like they crawled out of a worn game cartridge or a dog-eared graphic novel. Every design has a backstory. Every drop is intentional. If we don’t genuinely love it, it doesn’t get released.

We use modern tools — including AI — to help us design, prototype, and bring ideas to life more efficiently. But this isn’t a factory or a faceless operation. Every character, story beat, and final decision is still made by us. No teams. No committees. Just two people doing all the work to bring a passion project to life.
Atomic Critter isn’t about chasing trends or pretending to be something we’re not. It’s about nostalgia, creativity, and building something honest, weird, and lovingly crafted after work hours and between real life.
Beyond clothing, Atomic Critter is expanding into a larger story world — through graphic novels and narrative content that explore these characters, their origins, and the strange atomic events that shaped them. The apparel is just one doorway into the universe.
